Our mission at the 写作中心 is to be a support service for improving 写作 skills and developing writers. We are a resource for students and faculty that provides guidance through the 写作 process for every type of 写作 needs in any field of study. We are a writer-centered 写作中心; we value building writer processes rather than simply producing 写作 products.

As such, we are not an editing or proofreading service. We do not “fix” papers, or correct grammar or punctuation. We provide feedback and revision suggestions, but edits and revisions are the responsibility of the writer. 本着作者所有权的精神, clients are limited to two appointments per day, 或者每周两次, 每一个任务. Clients who are considered “no-shows” for scheduled appointments may have scheduling privileges revoked and are subject to account deactivation.

Peers understand the challenges that come with academic 写作. They provide relatable guidance, creating a comfortable and open environment for discussion. Through constructive feedback and encouragement, peer tutors empower you to take ownership of your 写作 process, fostering a sense of competence and self-assurance. We understand the demands of university life, and our peer tutoring program offers flexible scheduling options. Whether you’re a morning person or a night owl, our tutors are available to accommodate your preferences, ensuring that you receive the support you need when it’s most convenient for you.

The Athens State 写作中心 provides 写作 support for students and faculty of 雅典州立大学 in all disciplines at any point 在 写作 process. Services include collaborative peer tutoring sessions with 雅典州立大学 student  tutors to discuss clients’ 写作 and communication projects, along with providing access to reference materials about 写作 and communication, 还有新媒体技术. We offer tutoring sessions in-person at our center located inside the Kares library on campus, 和网上一样, 包括同步的和异步的. The 写作中心 operates during the day with some additional evening and weekend availability to accommodate the diverse population of the university. Our consultants provide a sounding board for peers’ ideas, 别人写作的听众, and collaboration 在 thinking processes related to effective college-level 写作 and communication.
